MCQ CHLOROPLAST is useful for NEET / CSIR / UGC / CBSE / ICSE / AIIMS / EXAM / AFMC EXAM / STATE LEVEL MEDICAL EXAM 2022-23, 2023-24
Introduction:-
Chloroplasts contain chlorophyll and carotenoids pigments which are responsible for trapping light energy essential for photosynthesis. In the chromolast fat soluble carotenoids pigments like carotene xanthophyll and others are present. This gives the part of the plant a yellow, orange or red colour. The leucoplast are the colourless plastids of various shapes and sizes with stored nutrients. Majority of the chloroplast of the green plants are found in the mesophyll cells of the leaves.
