Vitamin types

Classification of vitamins are generally classified into two broad type based on their solubility is known as water soluble vitamin and fat soluble vitamin

1) vitamin water soluble :- the vitamins which are soluble in water are called water soluble vitamins for example Vitamin B complex and Vitamin C are vitamins water soluble. The water soluble vitamins are stored in much lesser amount in the cells.

water soluble vitamin must be supplied regularly in our diet because they are really excreted in urine and cannot be restored (except B12) in our body.

2) vitamin fat soluble :- the vitamins which are soluble in fats is called fat soluble vitamins. for example vitamin A ,D,E and K. Liver cells are rich in fat soluble vitamins such as vitamin A and Vitamin D.
