Differentiate between gametogenesis and embryogenesis is :- Gametogenesis is a biological process by which diploid or haploid precursor cells undergo cell division and differentiation to form mature haploid gametes. Depending on the biological life cycle of the organism, gametogenesis occurs by meiotic division of diploid gametocytes into various gametes, or by mitosis whereas embryogenesis is formation and development of embryo from zygote, usualy it is divide by mitosis process.

In developmental biology, embryonic development, also known as embryogenesis, is the development of an animal or plant embryo. Embryonic development starts with the fertilization of an egg cell by a sperm cell. Once fertilized, the ovum becomes a single diploid cell known as a zygote.
Differentiate between gametogenesis and embryogenesis is given in following table
★ Gametogenesis:-
1) it involves formation of haploid gametes, gametes are two types microgamete known as sperm formed from diploid cell spermatocyte in testis by spermatogenesis process and larger is ovum called macrogamete formed inside ovary by the process of oogenesis.
2) gametes are haploid formed from gametogenesis
3) meiosis cell division is occurs in formation of gametes.
4) no morula, blastula and gastrula stage is found in gametogenesis process
★ Embryogenesis:-
1) it is development and function of plants and animal embryo from zygote.
2) embryo is generally diploid
3) generally mitosis cell division is occurs in embryogenesis process.
4) morula, blastula and gastrula process is found in embryogenesis process.
